The NES is apart of the third generation of home video game consoles.
The NES was develped and manufactured by the Japanese company Nintendo.
The NES was released on 15 July 1983 in Japan and on 18 October 1985 in North America.
The NES was succeeded by the Super Nintendo Entertainment System or SNES on 23 August 1991.
